My name is George Rey, and I didn’t take the typical corporate path into information technology. I built my career as a journeyman, learning firsthand what it means to keep complex, high-stakes operations running smoothly.

Before entering IT, I spent 16 years in the commercial printing industry, where precision, tight deadlines, and heavy machinery required absolute focus. From there, I transitioned into the demanding world of offshore ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Managing advanced robotics and subsea systems in one of the most unforgiving environments on earth taught me a fundamental truth: when critical infrastructure fails, operations grind to a halt, and stakes are incredibly high.

That background in mechanical precision and industrial resilience naturally led me to my true passion: IT, cybersecurity, and technology infrastructure. I founded AnchorPoint Tech because I saw too many local businesses struggling with unreliable networks, confusing compliance rules, and vulnerable systems.
